Butterfly Bush

My parents have several butterfly bushes in their yard, and lo and behold, the butterflies do adore them. I took this picture right before the rains began.

It's been raining for over a week (finally, after over a 1 1/2 month drought here), so I thought a sunny picture was the order of the day.

Meanwhile, Pepper is learning to get in and out of the trailer in preparation for the coming weekend's festivities. Excitement abounds!

That's a great picture! We had exactly a week of clouds and lots of rain - and now it's lovely. Hopefully it's heading your way!

Hi O'K, I've been doing a bit of a catch up on your posts and I can see that you are kept very busy with your menagerie.

I love your little chicks and those proud Mama chooks. Pepper is so beautiful now...lots of luck for the show.

I can see why you couldn't resist those cute kittens...and I would have had them in the house straight away too...lol!

Good to hear all is well, if busy, with you.

Take care

I'm glad you had that rain. Thank goodness.

I wonder if those butterfly bushes grow here in our zone, and if they require care or can live without my help. Because I want butterflies. I think its too cold for them here this summer.

Why are they so drawn to THAT bush?

I don't know why they like butterfly bushes so much, but they really are butterfly Magnets! lol
