Cat trees aren't just for fighting anymore. (And yes, I plan to cover it with something soft. Not that Isis seems to care...)
My little chickens have grown up into big chickens; they just began laying this week. Little (19-week-old) bird eggs (left) and big bird eggs (right).
Work-in-progress. Can I wear it soon, puh-leeese?
After seeing everybody's loverly warshrags (and Chaos in baby bibs), I ordered Mason-Dixon Knitting all for my very own. If you too hafta have it, get it from KnitPicks for 34% off list price (plus $1.99 US shipping, and I got mine in less than 10 days). Now who's gonna model the bibs in my 4-cat household, hmmmm?
oh, i forgot...you can also see the color we just painted mr. o'k's room in the third photo. it's not as purple as it looks on my monitor...it's called Deep Diva. love! with hershey's syrupy trim (the room was white, so it's quite a transformation)
my room is next--lavender amd lemongrass walls with purple trim. yummy (i hope)...trying to get some color going on in there before the long winter sets in...
Mr. O'kitten's room color looks about the color I was planning on painting my kitchen. I'm going for a dusty grey/purple for my craft room and blue for Munchkin's room. Assuming I ever have money for paint that is. Your razor cami looks really good! hope you get to wear it soon..
I'd paint stuff dark purple but my slumlords would shoot me so I have to just make do by pounding lots and lots of nails in the walls and covering that obcene white with paintings and photos.
Why do you keep tempting me with that cami??? And now it's mostly eggplant, so dammit I'll have to make one out of my eggplant yarn after I finish the Corset Pullover.
Thanks! The bottom is Millefili Fine in a kind of Hershey's Syrup color (doesn't come out so good on my screen, dunno about yours)--it's 100% cotton, and the top part is 100% merino from Fleece Artist. Not sure the name of the color now, I got it here in MI at the Lamafest--which was timely, cuz I realized I was gonna run out of the brown (which I got on sale in NY on vacation, and couldn't find on line or anywhere!)
I've never worked in such nice yarn before--or anything so fine, either--but I figured it's gonna be the first garment I've knitted (aside from hat, scarf, or wristwarmer) to actually wear on my person, so I might as well use something fancy-schmancy!
I tried it on today and I think it's gonna actually fit, hooray! Just gotta do the straps. I think I'm gonna I-cord them after an inch or so (rather than do them flat)...hm...
"One thing was certain, that the white kitten had had nothing to do with it--it was the black kitten's fault entirely." (L. Carroll, Through the Looking Glass)
I'm Yankee-Born and Southern-Raised, which makes me kind of Southern Gothic (in the old literary sense of the word). After 15 years in the Big Apple, I spent 4 years on a farm in Michigan raising chickens and llamas and learning to spin, knit, and needle-felt. Now I'm back home in NYC with my much-beloved spouse and one crazy tortiseshell cat. You can also find me on Ravelry.com as okitten.

Aw, look at how sweet Isis is... :)
Cami's looking good! Oh, and that MDK book? Should have a Surgeon General's warning about how addictive it is. I'm just saying...

Damn damn damn you and your cute kitty-cats!
Those colors are beautiful! What kind of yarn is that? I dunno if I missed it, hehe.
And you could try to get the cat to model it, I've managed to get a hat and a sock on mine, despite the nasty 'die' looks. ;)
Hehe. You'll have to get a group photo of the bibs ;o) Your knitting is coming along beautifully!
WOOHOO for your chickens and you!! YAY!
