And the jacket is beautiful, they go so well together.

I used to knit lace and yes, you do need to pin it to something relatively firm for some time to "iron out" all the lumps and bumps. But I think you did a pretty good job anyway, especially with something so fine.

Good luck with the rest of the shrug and a picture would be nice...?

Enjoy your weekend.Puss-in-Bootshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02313418336654760327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15282702.post-89687583911183393252007-03-08T22:08:00.000-05:002007-03-08T22:08:00.000-05:00Oh, that jacket is so gorgeous! You need to pin it to the bed, carpet, something for at least 24 hours. You have to stretch the pattern in the lace out so that it evens out all the bumps and dents and looks lovely.... Here are two places to go for blocking

www.knittingcurmudgeon.com/BlockingforBlockheads.pdf
www.yarnharlot.ca/blog/archives/2005/08/23/walk_around_the_block.html
(I especially like the string blocking, so much easier!!)sunneshinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09660696019259130959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15282702.post-662266560331591732007-03-08T12:05:00.000-05:002007-03-08T12:05:00.000-05:00Your such a total babe!
